Butanding ( Visit to the Gentle Giants)

 

 

September 1, 2013 Oslob, Cebu trip

Whale sharks or locally called as "butanding" are a well known tourist attraction in Oslob, Cebu (far southeastern province of Cebu). These gentle giants go near the shore every morning to catch breakfast (krills) given to them by local fishermen.

 

Fishermen throw krill near to the whale's head and the they strain it with their mouth. They don't have teeth and they're completely harmless!

These gentle giants are well taken care of by resident marine biologists who study the phenomena as to why they came and decided to stay near the shores of Oslob, Cebu.

If you plan a one-time visit to Cebu, you might as well include a trip to the famous Whale Sharks of the south. It is a massive 4 hour trip from the city by bus, but when you get to see the giants, it is all more than worth it!

( Visiting hours starts from 6am to 12:30 pm. The earlier, the better. )

Sunset from the Eastern Side

If you are on the eastern side of Cebu, you will witness the sun descend upon the long stretch of mountains.
As it continues to descend fully, you will witness the different rays of colors playing with the clouds and the skies, almost like a painting that can never be priced.

Coming to Reality

Don't make decisions you might regret,
it's better earlier than too late;
You can't force the issue if its not worth it,
I've been in your life for so long,
but never did i get what's wrong.
Yet memories are very deceiving,
now i don't know what to believe in.
but i guess I'll just have to wait,
if it's really not us, then its fate.

Bird

EARLY MORNING I HEAR A LOT OF BIRDS SINGING

BUT I COULDN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY SING
           FOR THEY WERE BIRDS

BUT THEY WERE HAPPY I KNEW IT
FOR I COULDN'T SING A SONG AS CHEERFUL AS THEIRS

THEN I FELT LONELY , I WISH I WERE A BIRD

THEIR SOULS ARE VISIBLE AND THEY ARE TRUE
THEY DO NOT PLAY CHARACTERS LIKE WE DO

THEY ALL JUST NEED TO BE BIRDS

Someday

let  the stars fall down
so i can make a million wish
strong enough to make you mine forever
and when that happens
we'll be dancing in the rain
we'll be kissing all night
in your arms,wrap me so tight
hold me and this time
I'll never let go
should i say a thousand prayers
for this someday which i see
in everyday it will be you and me =)
